Merry Christmas 2022

Spent my Christmas Sunday cleaning up my parents’ bedroom.  Last week I cleaned mine and next week will be Kemp’s bedroom. 

Yes, I started my 大扫除。 

Next will be kitchen and storeroom.  Everytime I do deep cleaning, I end up with blue blacks and bruised knees.  Because I will kneel down on my knees to clean the floor so that all corners will be clean….. 

Now my kneecaps, shoulders and back are aching…

Christmas Gathering

Gathering at Shalley house - 23 Dec 2022

Glad to meet up.. always full of laughter and nonsense with them.  They are my friends from Poly - from times we studied and did projects again, to times we start working, dating and some getting married, with kids and now.  

Friends I cherish.  We dont meet up / communicate that often but wont feel awkward once we meet. 

Glad that Shalley settled her divorce, bought a new house and settled with her kids.  Glad to see her kids growing up well too.  

Everyone’s well.  I am glad.  

Glad to have made it to the gathering.

Presents from the wife of the 2 married guys.. haha. 

Kemp - N levels results

Kemp got his N levels results yesterday.  

Not too bad - Got 1 each for Math and Science, 3 for Chinese and 3 for Humanities.  

He took O levels for English and results will only be known early next year.  

So.. for 4 subjects his total score is already 8.  

He hopes to enter Polytechnic at the foundation level - but looking at the requirements, his total score might exceed the minimum score. 

In any case, his results are pretty good.  Not for us to brag but I just hope he can enter a place that he likes and enrol in courses he is interested in.

Finally.  After waiting for 2 years plus.  

It was good, the usual good.  They sang for almost 3 hours, started before 8pm and ended about 10.45pm - 诚意满满。

They sang alot of old and hokkien songs - my favourites.  New and popular songs were good too.  

Everything was perfect except for my condition.. 

Still feeling giddy.. but I tried to enjoy as much as I could (while being seated) and I did.  

I used to remember their songs’ lyrics.. but after yesterday, I realised I didnt remember it as well - much be listening to too much radio these days and seldom on spotify playlist…
