JB 一日游

JB day trip with SL. Took the 9.45am train to JB.  First time taking train to JB. Woke up early and reached Kranji MRT at about 8am plus. 

The train customs clearing was pretty fast and efficient. And the journey across the causeway was of course faster although the train didnt move very fast.. Lol the cars on the causeway was faster than the train. 

Ate breakfast at City Square and walked around.  Decided to take grab to Mid Valley shopping. Grab was easy to book. 

Mid Valley was good to shop.  Big, spacious, with alot of seating around.  Alot of shops and eateries.  We bought alot of tibits - from China, Japan and Malaysia etc. 

Our late lunch was Jap food.  The soft shell crabs were good! 

Spent the entire afternoon at Mid Valley and took grab back to City Square at around 6pm plus.  

We didnt have alot of time left.  Walked abit and settled down for dinner.  Our train back to SG was at 9.30pm and we had to reach at 9pm. 

Ate dinner, did some last minute shopping.  And time to go back. 

Overall I think is quite fun. Time was abit short, towards the end, I think we were rushing to do the last minute shopping. 

Guess the next time I can bring my parents to experience the train ride. 

Happy Father’s Day

Happy Papa’s day.  

My dad is outside playing his favourite mahjong at 姑妈 house.  

I hope he goes out for mahjong often but his mahjong khakis nearby are all full and so he seldom goes out for mahjong now.  

Wanted to eat crabs on Sat but Kemp was working and so we didnt order any crabs..

So.. sorry, he din have any celebration. 

你辛苦了。。

My kind of breakfast.. after a happening night

Happening Friday

Kemp got a contract job at Pandamart as packer for 2 months.  And today, suddenly got an adhoc job for him but location was at Punggol Settlement.  Though it was far but he still decided to go.. Started work at 3.30pm and ends at 11pm.

Though he could claim the cab home but as usual, my dad was worried about him not being able to Grab etc.  So we decided to go fetch him when he finish work.  I knew Punggol Jetty was around that area so I thought could treat as an outing for me and them on a Friday night.. 

And so, it was Journey to Punggol.  Long car ride.  Finally reached the place and listening to the sea waves and enjoying the sea breeze at night is indeed calming.. 

Fetched Kemp and reached home.  But house was in total darkness. 

 跳电。

Suddenly we felt total loss because we had never managed this electricity box at this house before.  Lucky we remembered when we reached home, we saw this uncle who does electricity jobs sitting at the drop off point.. and so my dad went to find him and he helped us.

Now all the switches in my kitchen are not working.. suspect is the heater spoilt. Uncle is coming over tomorrow morning to check and repair if he can. 

Happening Friday. 

又是个下雨的星期天

Rainy Sunday again.  Started to rain heavily when I woke up at 8am plus.  

Just like last time, managed to go swimming during the time the rain stopped and was cloudly.  Thought the sun would come out after some time but no… the clouds turned dark again + lightning alert when I finished swimming.  Look at the dark clouds… And then it was raining / drizzling the whole afternoon - just nice for a nap and rest time for the afternoon.  

And so.. the long weekend ended.
